Alzheimers Society

The Alzheimers Society has a long history of taking a learner-centered approach to their education materials. This online course is their transition to a virtual training for their program facilitators. The aim is to improve the transfer of learning to practice resulting in improved care for persons living with dementia.

This online version ensures a common approach and language for facilitation, extends the reach and minimizes the pressure on time and budgets associated with in-person learning.

The content lends itself to a number of different applications of interactive, branching scenarios. Here are just a few examples of interactions that provide opportunities to explore adult learning principles, and different ways to deal with challenging facilitation participants and persons living with dementia or their care givers.
